I have just started using this and I was wondering what experiences anyone else in MSE land has had?
In theory it looks simple enough - free, no registration etc - but since logging in for the first time yesterday I've not had any new emails when I normally get 50-100 per day.

Just visited it and must say it looks like a scam website (i.e. unprofessional and just advertising others services). On top of this it begs the question why you are using it? Have you not heard of GMail, Hotmail or Yahoo? That website offers nothing that Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird cannot do for free.

No need to be patronising. I want to use it because I have a well-established .co.uk address that I need regular access to while I'm travelling on business. I have both yahoo and gmail addys but they get spammed.
I have now checked with a colleague and my host server has been having issues for the last 24 hours which may explain things.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

WilliamO: is that just your opinion that it looks scammy or do you have some reason for suggesting that?0

Hi Paulstar,
No....that's just my opinion on the way it looks and feels. For example: Not a lot of effort has been put into it, to say what it is - something that is supposed to be taking care of your email etc. If that sloppy website is anything to go by, what about the sloppy coding behind the scenes in terms of protection, servers and so on. I certainly wouldn't trust it. It looks like one of those D.I.Y american "seo guru" type of websites that ask for $97.

Are you sure you've got the right address? I used to use mail2web for this sort of thing...0

Ah. Tanglefoot, well spotted.
It's www.mail2web.com that I've been occasionally using for years.
WilliamO - I agree with you, web2mail.com/ looks a bit iffy. Having looked at their site I'm now running a full virus scan on my machine...0
