British Gas Homecare use of chemical inhibitors?
Hi,
I recently signed up to BG Homecare 200, they came out today to fix an issue with my boiler which required them to drain the central heating system.
The engineer filled the system back up from the mains inlet, but did not add any chemical inhibitor to the system.
My question, surely as part of the servicing and care of my central heating system, they should of added a chemical inhibitor to prevent corrosion and sludge build up?
Regards,
Phil Johnson

Did you ask this of the engineer, and if so, what was his response?0 -

One would have thought so, but then this is BG.
Why would they want to protect your system from corrosion and sludge, when next year they can blame a fault on sludge and ask you to pay £700 for a powerflush.0
