Charity donations of IT equipment

I work in IT in a local company. At the minute we've got a selection of old printers, monitors and Blackberrys that have been replaced with newer models. None of these are more than three years old and all are in good working condition, it's just that we've moved to more efficient printers, bigger monitors and newer company mobiles (replaced every two years).
Rather than give these away to whatever members of staff want to take them I was hoping that there may be a local charity we could give some of the stuff to that could make good use of them but after looking online it's not easy to find one! Does anyone have any experience of this or could point me in the right direction?
Thanks

ASSISI Animal Sanctuary in Newtownards would take the mobile phones, they would then recycle them to raise money for the animals or they could sell them on in the charity shop.

Hi guiriman,
Please can I ask - not for myself or any family member - I am asking for disadvantaged people I work with - It is not appropriate for me to share this information here - but please PM me - if you think you could help and I will give you all the info. required
Thank-you and hope to hear from you0 -
Most charities won't take electrical equipment. Health and Safety is the issue I believe. I worked in Education and had a mountain of old Pc's to dispose off a few years ago. We could not get anyone interested in them and ended up paying someone to come and take them away !
Thankfully the law has changed with the introduction of WEEE.0 -
You can donate them to Age

Help technology novices in your community to get online by donating your old PC. If you have a working PC or laptop sitting in your house gathering dust and taking up space, why not donate it to Age UK?Jellynose0 -
Contact your district local voluntary services umbrella organisation. They will know which community organisations are in need of equipment and which aren't..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Extern Recycle
This charity take old computers and train homeless people (I believe in Northern Ireland) how to build and repair PCs to help them find employment:
