i've only mentioned the details of my own insurance to answer the questions asked and to be as helpful as possible with details.i'll run through the details of my original statement to save trawling back through the posts.i've been going through quotes for my car insurance and i've informed them that i've had no convictions or claims/accidents,and then when this is checked with the claims and underwriting exchange a claim/conviction shows up.this was an accident my dad was involved in,we both have the same christian names,i wasn't a named driver on his policy and had no involvement in the accident.what action can i take against this company for this mistake?and is it down to the underwriters?0

do your own research but I think DPA puts the onus on the database holder to ensure information held is accurate and to correct any mistakes so I guess your first port of call is CUE in Milton Keynes.
