Crown Solo satin paint - is it just me?

I cannot get this paint to cover in 3 coats, let alone 1. Admittedly this was over a dark green coloured door, but even after the 3 coats I can still see a ghost of the old colour in places.
We plan to paint all the natural wood skirting boards and door frames in our house and Cream White in this paint was the perfect colour. Not sure I can face doing possibly 4 coats on everything though.
I am an experienced decorator so don't think it's my technique.
Am I the only one to have this problem?
Any recommendations for alternatives?

Did you do undercoat in a suitable matt paint? If your panting over a darker colour then the final finish is going to be, that is a minimum - better still strip the old pain off then undercoat (preferable twice) before applying the finish coat (possibly twice for a smooth finish).0

Is this a paint where you clean the brush with water rather than white spirit? I've found these paints come out thinner than they used to and need several coats. I had the same problem with Dulux Satin White so I emailed the company who recommended paint from the 'Trade' range and sent me a voucher. Unfortunately the brushes had to be cleaned with white spirit but I did get better coverage.0

It's supposed to a one coat paint. The pot I bought a few months ago said "guaranteed".
The brushes need to be cleaned with brush cleaner ie white spirit, so it's not a water based one.0 -

Did you read the small print ????? Probably gauranteed if you are painting over a calour exactly the same shade !!.
Always pay the extra and buy Trade Paint from a proper paint centre. Then you only have to paint it once (or twice if over a darker colour)0 -

if you are trying to cover dark green paint with cream white , then it's not surprising that it's not covering , i am an experienced painter and i would have thought that you would have to give it at least 2 undercoats, possibly as the very minimum before top coating .
as a rule one coat stuff is rubbish , you might just as well do the job properly and use undercoat
ps . if the 1 coat stuff was that good , all decorators would be using it all the time , most of the ones i meet don't0 -
I think you're probably right about the hype. I didn't think it would cover in one coat, but thought it might be better than "normal" paint. Obviously not!
Not sure why we didn't get trade paint. We used it for doing up a flat recently and it was good stuff.
At least no one has said that it's a wonderful product and it must be me.0
