What is the definition of 3*

I have had a buyer leave multiple 3* for item as described for every item they bought from me.

I don't think there was anything wrong with the items and they haven't contacted me, but they are a competitor and I wonder if that is the reason for the ratings.

Can anyone tell me what is the definition of 3* please. According to Ebay customer support, it is only 1 & 2 stars that can lead to restrictions, but these stars are really dragging my average down.

3s will not contribute towards your account being banned but will as you have found out affect your averages. However, one buyer won't make a difference - it's probably an outlier that thinks 3 means 'average' rather than someone who really thinks you did a bad job. I doubt eBay will remove the feedback, but if it's a once off it won't directly impact your ability to sell.

Thanks Crowqueen, but I suspect he knew exactly what he was doing as he is a TRS and has a shooting star so is a big seller.

Needless to say, he won't be buying anything else from me.

How satisfied were you with the seller's communication?
3 Stars = Neither unsatisfied nor satisfied

How quickly did the seller dispatch the item?
3 Stars = Neither slowly nor quickly

How reasonable were the P&P charges?
3 Stars = Neither unreasonable nor reasonable


Nonsense really - a description is either accurate or it's not for example.

I have checked and all the items have full descriptions including any age related wear and tear.

And to add insult to injury, he has relisted some of them for almost three times what he paid me and described them as in excellent condition :mad:

No - I don't expect so either .

If you have evidence of shenanigans then it can't be a bad thing to contact eBay and ask for assistance.
