- Offered a tariff for £14/mo. Accepted. Clarified that it would cost me £14 a month. "Correct". Great.
- A few weeks later. See £28/mo on tariff cost. Get a little worried, phone them up. Reassured that the discount "will be applied at a later date". Great.
- Yesterday. They send me a bill for £28 and say it will be taken out of my bank account. Phone them up. Chap says he will "credit me £14". Great.
- Today. Check account balance. He's mistakenly added £14 to the bill, not credited it. Great! Now I've got to call them AGAIN! Just what I want to do.
Honestly, what happens if I just cancel the direct debit with these muppets until they sort out their act? I don't have much money and I don't want to go into my overdraft because they can't even send me the correct bill.

If you cancel the DD they will very likely put a stop on your SIM card. You're not the first person I've seen on here with similar stories, and you won't be the last. Seems their CS aren't great...0

If you don't pay by other means after cancelling the DD they'll trash your credit file.0

Email them. I have always found them very helpful.0

Welcome to life as a Virgin customer. Not at all aptly named in certain contexts given how experienced they are at screwing up.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

I'll second that. Been with them for years but thinking of moving (although I suspect others are not much better). Their customer service stinks.0 -
basically Virgin mobile LIE about the deals and discounts they can give. the system only accepts certain variations but in order to keep you they LIE LIE LIE and say they can throw this and that in free. you only clock the problem once the bill comes.
