Hi,
I´m starting a degree in Feb (Design) and need to get a desktop pc that has good graphics, loads of memory and fast speeds.
Ideally comes with a monitor 21" +, not the end of the world though.
I Know an Apple would be great but don´t have the budget for that, and cant build my own.
Budget is 500 to 600
Any suggestions appreciated
Thanks

to give you a basic idea of spec for price i would look at this http://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/configurePrd.asp?idproduct=1571 bare in mind these people do charge £25 for delivery which is not factored into the price, but this will give you an idea of what you should be able to get,
a core i5 cpu should be the minimum you should be looking at, the graphics card is acceptable for design due to the CUDA support as well as OpenCL (for GPU accelerated programs), but it isnt very good for any sort of gaming (if you have this in mind), RAM is pretty cheap but 8gb will help 16gb would be a bonus but not nessesary.Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Thanks for that i will check it out
