Yes, I have heard that some of these questionable organisations are notorious for posting fictitious jobs on sites. Disgusting. Such deviant behaviour should carry a heavy fine - and even the complete closure of their businesses.

Be wary that many of the jobs they post don't actually exist. They seem to repost the same job over and over again with slightly differently worded titles. So don't feel too disheartened if you aren't hearing back, it may be that the job isn't actually real!

I can totally empathise with you here. I rarely get a reply either.

I am FED UP WITH LIFE IN THIS COUNTRY AND THE DIFFICULTY TRYING TO GET A JOB.

Do something about it then, look further afield for work for example.
  • Reed were great with me. I applied for a job via their website a few years ago. There were a lot of applications for the job and I got selected along with a few others. 3 days later I was temping at the firm and was offered a perm job a few months later.

They were very good whilst I temped with them.

My firm use Reed for advertising and all genuine jobs.

You were one of the lucky few, then, weren't you?

They were very good for me too, I've worked for them several times, and have recently gone permanent at a job that started out as temporary.

I've rarely managed to find any work with other agencies. Plus, Reed are one of the few who always responded to me, unlike the others I've dealt with who either completely ignore you or have you in to register, promise that they are very busy and will have no trouble finding you work, then you never hear from them again.

Reed are not the same as www.reed.co.uk

One is a agency with several divisions and the other is a site for advertsing jobs.

Very rarely did I get a response from employers on Reed, my interviews while job searching were a result of contacting companies directly. My current job I got by filling in a paper application and sending it in the post the old fashioned way! ;)

Really? Are they not linked at all?

reed dot co dot uk is the website for all the divisions of agency, in addition it carries adverts for other agencies and employers.
