Mse puppy toys?

My puppy likes toys. He is way more into toys than any puppies I have had or taken care of before. For about thirty seconds each one though. He likes puppy soft toys he can 'kill' and shake but he is not interested in chewing any of the four puppy nylabones/chew toys we bought. The sofa on the other hand........:D or the other dogs

This could get very expensive very quickly, to build up enough toys to keep recyling to keep Him busy and playing without eating our house or his doggy family.

ATM the best game is when I hold a rope tug or a soft toy and let him attack it and pull it. He is only very, very new to the world, so that is fine and to be expected, but I want to get him toys or safe things 'to do' that do not involve me, so, for example, he can play safely while I load the dishwasher or do some housework.

Anyone got any mse toys or puppy play time tricks?

There's lots of interactive toys on the market, many based around food. At his age, he'll be on several meals a day, so you might want to consider feeding at least half of them through at least one kind of interactive food dispensor to keep him busy. Though you may need to separate the other dogs while he's at it!

Otherwise - boxes! Ones he can climb in, on, chew, splat, etc., try your supermarket or similar for free boxes (or local Homebase has a collection of old boxes you can take away for free)
Casper isn't very into toys but loves to chuck the Poundland rope ball around the place, he'll chase, pounce and chuck it around for a good 10 mins or so if he's in the mood. Ditto with Kongs, both of mine will play with an empty Kong, though they don't half thud!

To save money, don't put all his toys down in one go. Keep a little toy box out of reach and rotate his toys every other day or so. With his puppy attention span he'll think you're buying him new toys all the time!

Yep we toy recycle and in the evening I have about four out to play with so when he carts one off and doesn't bring it back I have another one ready, then after number four pick up all of them.

ATM I am trying to have two play session by himself, where food releasing toys would be fine, a great idea, but the evening mad hour, when it's all of us spending time with each other is the hardest! My big dog doesn't like having her tail and toes chewed, understandably!

Knotted socks or rags, dampened and frozen when teething.

    Yoghurt pots

    Plastic cups

    Toilet/kitchen roll inners

    Ball on a rope - Asda £1.99 :)

Bull's pizzles - not too cheap but hours of peace!

Maty moo, thanks for the yoghurt pot tip.

Based on this he is playing with and loving a plastic flower pot. It's probably his favorite toy. Another success has been a pair of thick tights with only one leg (the other leg has already been cut into strips for plant ties. The remaining leg has been knotted, and it's long enough to play with him when he is still busy and I want to sit done in the evening.

Glad he likes the plant pot :)

If he likes soft toys it may be worth looking in charity shops too, they usually have cuddly toys at a good price.

Empty plastic lemonade bottles make a good toy - for variation put something inside to make it rattle and keep his attention such as a dog treat.

My two Yorkies have hundreds of toys but their favourite are the Kong Dr Noys soft toys. They have two of every character, each one comes with a replacement squeaker which I have had to replace as one constantly squeaks and chews at the same time so he bursts the sqeakers!

The cheapest I have found them delivered is here:

My puppy loves fleece tugs. I have just bought a kilo of fleece offcuts from eBay for £6 and have started to make my own. I reckon that I will be able to make 6-8 from the fabric I bought. See the link below for instructions. It really is very easy and a great thing to do with the kids :D
