Credit Card Fee's Question

  • Yes. You must make all the balance transfers when you open the account, so make sure you have everything lined up! Some cards allow you to make balance transfers whenever but Tesco do not seem to.

  • Many thanks for clearing that up, makes sense.

I guess the MBNA makes better sense then as it has no restrictions, and is available for 22 months with a lower fee than Tesco.

Does anyone have any experience with this card or applying for one?
  • My experience is that MBNA have always refused me even when others that I applied for immediately after accept and gave a good limit (~£7,500). Not sure what they've got against me :(

This isn't true. I have this card and didn't make any BTs on account opening and have since made 4 separate tramsfers over a 3 month period (and I'm not paying interest on any of them). In fact you can transfer at any time in the first 22 months with Tesco and still get 0% interest - which is different to many cards where you can only transfer up until a certain point, like 3 months after account opening
  • Hi,

Thanks sfax for your input, that would be good if that was the case. I am now puzzled as your info differs from what Janie4Now said, and I really would like to clear this up.

I would very much like for it to work like sfax said, with multiple balance transfers within the 22 months.

    Anyone else have any advice?
    Thanks
