Need advice on pursuing a claim against my housing office???

If you look on your Council's website, go to the Corporate Complaints section and fill out the details there, and also write or email the Cheif Executive and tell them that's what you are doing. Makes my boss go cold and do his best headless chicken impression every time those words are mentioned, so I guess it must be something drastic! Have you involved your local councillor in this too - it's local election time in most parts of the country soon, and they will do anything to get a vote!

I wrote to the ombudsman today, sent them off the paper work, asking for 800 quid in damages against the council. My council is really bad when it comes to complaints. they have a policy, but never stick to it. They send you holding letters saying they are investigating, and will respond back with a date, but do they respond, hell no!!
I wish i was a fly on the wall when i see the housing officers receiving enquiries from the ombudsman. from september 2006 till 2nd may 07 (today) i have only received two letter from the council, mmmmmmmmmmmm.
I wonder if i took eight months to respond to a council tax bill, would that be ok???? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -
Just received a letter from the Local Government Ombudsman telling me they will try and get the council to make a speedy descision. I also received a letter from the council which was redirected from my old address (the silly fools wrote to my old address i moved out of seven months ago). The council told me they are awaiting further information from the housing office, fingers crossTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0

Glad you are getting somewhere with this. Hopefully the Ombudsman will be able to get things sorted for you.
