    & that could be your problem, the vent should be in the outside wall direct to fresh air not just vented internally, not only could this be the cause of additional water vapour being produced but could be very dangerious, it will tell you in the MI (or sometimes on the bottom of the fire) the min room size & ventilation size req, IMO i wouldn't use this fire until both of these things are checked.
