my brother applied for amex platinum cc on the 5/4/07 does anyone know how long the process takes.

    Amex seem to take longer than most, you should have a written acknowledgement within about 10 days and your card within two weeks afterwards. I personally prefer those companies that give you an online decision immediately, the only problem then is that if the credit limit is not to your liking it's harder to get it raised as the decision has already been made and you're usually locked out of further rises within 6 months.

    I second Patwa. I think it took about 3 weeks to a month in my case. The application process is very slow.
