MBNA are totally screwing me!

Hi.
I'm new to all this, so go easy on my apparent level of stupidity.
I signed up to an MBNA credit card o% interest on balance money transfers scheme must be nigh on 4-5 years ago. Once the balance was paid off i continued to recieve statements every now and again with interest accrued on the card. Made no sense to me but after considerable searching - most of the mbna staff have never been anything other than unhelpful - i discovered i had without my knowledge signed up for Credit card protection. I never did ask for it but finally after over a period of 12 months of excruciating discussions with many people in mbna i had a weak moment and just paid up. I wanted rid of this. Now, this morning, after 5 months of hearing absolutely nothing, i have recieved a notice saying i havent paid their interest in 5 months and i have an outstanding balance of £!06.56. Like WHAT THE HELL! I bumped into an article on this site from 2004 where somebody talks about a residual interest [scam]. Is this what i'm seeing? I think i might have chucked all my old notes on this thinking it was all over. Maybe thats part of their scam too, to make you think its all over before they whack you again. I'm pretty mad this time, even wondering if i can get lawyers involved...but i can't help but think it will all be at a complete loss. I want them to feel pain somehow, but in the worst case just end this and possibly even recoup money. Does anyone have any idea whats going on and what i can do?
