still paying credit card payment protection insurance when balance is 0

My husband is still being charged a monthly amount by Vanquis despite the balance being 0 for 3 years!! I can only assume this is for insurance but is this right? How can you insure nothing?

Phone them and ask. 3 years ago would have been the best time to call, but now is the next best time. I think their insurance is balance related, so unlikely to be that.0

Thanks for the replies, we've had a lot on the past 3 years, we've had 2 children, house move, ill parents. It just keeps getting put to the bottom of the list. I'll make him call later. Thanks again0

It is still payable because most PPI attached to credit cards allows you to continue spending and they will continue paying even whilst your claiming and so just because you have a nil balance today doesnt mean they wont be paying anything out "tomorrow" were you to suddenly made redundant
Evidently if you dont believe it is value for money then cancel it0
