Welfare accommodation for buns.

Hello all rabbit lovers !This company has set up in the North West to produce rabbit hutches and runs that reflect the current thinking in RWA (Rabbit Welfare Association)

http://www.welfarehutches.co.uk/ Its been hard before now to find a manufacturer that will make a hutch big enough . Not cheapy cheap, but what price a happier pat?

I prefer house rabbits and those left to their own devices in the garden (obviously securely).

However it's nice to see people caring about rabbits and small animals rather than the more popular pets :)

Rabbits are the 3rd most popular pets in the UK, only cats & dogs come above them and neither (generally) live in small specialised accommodation, so in a way it's very sad that for so long the majority of shops only sell far too small hutches & cages. All outdoor pet rabbits need a safe, secure, weatherproof housing so it's kind of impossible for them to have a secure garden home without one included be it a hutch, or a shed, a coop, or similar. and a secure garden would need to be fully covered as birds of prey and foxes etc. can all too easily access even the most urban of garden environments.

There are some good hutch manufacturers out there, but if you are independently trying to find them it can be a struggle - there are some very good rabbit forums though where people in the know can point you in the right direction, and it's always good to see people sharing/recommending such companies on more general forums (like here on MSE) too. :)
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
