Time Between ESA Medicals

hi,can anyone tell me how long is normal between Esa medicals.its just that i had a medical 9 weeks ago and passed and today recieved another medical questionnaire letter to fill in,seems strange to me but i phoned atos and they said i have to fill it in,im on income based esa support group by the way

Was this to do with an appeal? The original medical I mean. If yes that may be why.
But they can call you in for re assessment at any time. Did the award notice letter give you a review date at all on when they may call you in? Mine said sometime in 2015 as my award ends in July 2015 if that makes sense.

hi,thanks for the reply,no date for review and it was a fresh medical,moved from wrag to support group as a result and now a new form to fill in all over again,dont know why? or what to do

9 weeks sounds extremely short.
I have heard reference to a 3 month minimum period, but I have no idea if this is applicable, or if it has any staturory force.
I would suggest you get a copy of the medical report, you can phone up and request this.

if the prognosis as the previous medical was 3 months, then getting an ESA50 after 9 weeks seems about right.

im not saying the decision is right ... just the timescale
