Southeastern double charged my season ticket...advice please

Southeastern railways tried to renew my annual season ticket on Saturday but the machine went awry and they actually charged me twice. They did put a refund through, but because it takes 3 or so days to go through, my bank account is now overdrawn and I am liable for a charge.
Se railways say they are not liable to pay this....is that correct?!
Thanks

Contact your bank. Under PSD they have to put your account back in the position it was before the payment error.
But of course, as it was Southeastern railways fault in debiting you twice the least they should do is refund any fee's.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
Thank you - sorry what is PSD please?0

Payment services directive.
Covers unrecognised payments. And a duplicate falls into that category.
It means your bank have to refund the duplicate payment untill the refund comes through and also ensure you don't get any bank charges.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
Thank you, I'd not heard of that, it's very helpful0

Personally I'd write a complaint to Southeastern. Not your or your banks' issue, it's theirs.urs sinserly,
