Quick Ebay Question

OK my be not very quick:o
I have sold something on Ebay which was new so was described as new. Starting bid was 1.50 which then went to 3.20. so total price of the item including postage was £6.19. Buyer received the item & said it was not new and some letters are missing etc etc (it was magnetic letters tub which was never played and was a present). I offered her half refund of item as she wasn't happy which is £1.60. He/she said no I want full refund including postage. I was so angry but still said OK will refund you £3.20 if that make you rich. She then opened a case saying as you were rude I opened a case & I want full refund inc postage.
To which I replied Send me the item & i will refund you excluding postage when I receive it (As thats Ebay's rule?)
Now she dont want to send the item and want full refund inc postage.
I am still offereing her £3.20 refund & that she can keep the item for the price of postage only.
What else I can do? Am I wrong any where in all of this?
Please advice.

I am pretty sure ebay's policy is that if she wins the case she will have to return the item to get a full refund from you (including the original postage), but you will not have to pay for her return postage.0

Was the item sealed - or is there a chance you have dropped some bits from it since receiving it as a gift (or even the person who gave it you?).
Just ask for it returning and you will have to refund ALL their money. Thats what paypal/ebay will insist.
"Have a refund if it makes you rich"? Not very clever thing to say really - if you value your fedback.0 -
AFAIK, if you're a private seller, you won't haveto refund return postage - there's loads of threads from the buyers side which would seem to bear this out? Can't see you getting good feedback either way though!0
