Final Bill

Hey Guys,

This is the first time I am posting on this forum, and hope someone can give me some advice!

I have just moved into a 2 bedroom terraced home - and at the point of moving in, I grabbed the Scottish Power 2014 fix. The house was supplied by BG previously, and from today both gas and electricity is now provided by Scottish Energy. Me and my partner live in this property, and where she works regular hours, I work shifts (Early, Late, Nights).

I have received a final gas bill from BG today:

08846 - First Reading when moving in 29/09/2012.
08994 - Final Reading 29/10/2012.

Between 29/09/2012 - 29/10/2012 = 1635.4 KWh

Charge for this period on the BG Standard Tariff: £75.16

Can anyone please glance an eye at this figure, and tell me if this looks correct? I think I could be using too much gas and need to invest in an electric blanket? :search:

About 4.6 pence per kWh that's pretty good. 11.05kWh per cubic metre is also about right too.

That's not bad for October.

Hi goldengunners did you read the meter and give us that reading when you switched? If not and its an estimate there could be leeway to request that BG change the reading. However bear in mind that ScottishPower would also have to change their reading and so we would end up charging you for the difference instead. In which case it may not be worth it.
