Which way to go?

I have done an energy comparison with a view to switching supplier and it turns out that the best deal for me is with my current supplier but on a different tariff. So do I just carry on switching through the energy comparison site (getting £15 in process) and the new tariff. Or do I phone up the supplier and asked to change tariff. I get a £100 discount every year which I think is for staying with them. Do you think I could keep this if I stayed with them on the different tariff?

Not sure you'll get any cashback for switching, as you won't be switching suppliers.
I'd phone them up and ask about changing tariff, but retaining the discount you get for staying with them. Ask for confirmation by email or in writing if they say you'll continue to get that too!

No cashback for changing tariff with the same supplier. Either switch online through your account, or by phone.
If the loyalty bonus relates to the supplier, not the tariff, then you'll still get it.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
