Hey debtclearer, I tried selling on eBay but always just end up paying the fee for the ad.

So I got my signature on finally. God I find it very sobering....
Last night whilst out I spent 100 on Xmas pressies. Having a quiet one again this year but should have maybe waited till the end of the month.
Not a great start for me then!
Bills to come off before then add up to 230 all before end of month and that don't include the food shop. Eek.....Barclaycard £14,265

Don't forget to check out the old style boards for ideas on moneysaving on that food shop! Loads of ideas there and it really does help to meal plan - or shop later in the evening when you can get those bargains.Debt free and Keeping on Track0

£100 isn't too bad, but try and keep spending to an absolute minimum now. I actually had some things with tags on which is why I managed to make some cash.
Try driving slower, I find it really helps, I stick in the slow lane of the motorway now with the lorries! haha. I'm 5 mins slower but I use much less fuel.
Also, if you have credit cards just cut them up. It was scary but I just did it and now they don't exist! It is nice knowing those balances wont run up anymore
Also try and set a direct debit up so you can pay for your car insurance next year outright if you don't already. Can you reduce your phone bills and packages? How about your energy supplier?Debtfree!0 -

Thats a good few tips cheers! I'm a pretty frugal shopper when it comes to food and always buy 'own' brand stuff - have got over the stigma of everything in the cupboard being white
The things that seem to be tripping me up just now are the following...
trips to a certain hardware store
needing more beer during the week - really?!
coffee when Im between clients and sitting in the car
Have suggested to OH that we need to only buy 1 box of beer with the weekly shop and when it runs out TOUGH. - we're not alkies btw but we never go out so thats oor treat!
Was thinking that taking a flask of black coffee in the car would be ALOT less expensive..
Our daughter has been taking a small fortune to high school for lunch and though we have now ruined her street cred she is taking a packed lunch. That didnae go down very well I can tell you!
One very frustrating thing is that our pc has just literally died and i need to get the  thing fixed asap. I have a friend who should be able to help and hopefully be cheaper than a shop.
Hows everyone elses day going?

Hi all, well done everyone on their efforts so far!
Thought it might help us (or at least me!) to visualise what it will be like to clear those debts once and for all.
So much more disposable income each month to do what I want with! I reckon about £300 each month goes on paying down debts (nearly no interest at least, thanks to 0% deals!)
No guilt or embarrassment at having run up the debts in the first place. No more rows with OH. Well, not about the debt anyway!
I will actually own my car!
And - I can start saving for things I really want. Top of my list is financing a road trip in the US. But I WON'T allow myself to borrow money to pay for it.
What will everyone else do when they're debt free?
