Hullo from a dreich Scotland!
I hope that this ins't inappropriate but I wondered if anyone else out there had round about 15k to pay off - not including mortgages or my number would be WAY higher
Been lurking on here now for a long time reading and soaking up all the fantastic advice and trying to get my head around what I need to pay off. On paper we should be relatively comfortable but we're not. We dont live extravegantly either but we are very guilty of putting holidays we dont have money for on the cc - not good.....
So is anyone else out there up for a buddy system/thread where we can try help each other out and repay out debts? I dont have a particular time limit and as I have a family I cant be totally mean tight to the last penny but I want to do the best I can - was thinking about 2 years? Dunno if thats realistic tho....
Anyways open to suggestions and hopefully some buddies!
Cheers!

That would be great! I really need to be accountable for all the 'extras' I buy throughout the month. I'm hoping by owning up and writing it on here that it will kindof embarrass me into being stronger willed!
I'm gonna work out my timeline signature thingy tomo and get the ball rolling

Can I play too? I'm aiming to clear about 8k with interest by end of 2013 (I'm doing £20 per day for nov and aiming to maintain).
If I aimed to clear the debt and save 7k it would change our world.
Weather in England is also dreich.

I have also decided that as I love champagne I want to have a bottle every time I go under £1k ..... Only if the bottle is £12 on offer in supermarket though.
I somehow think I will blitz it if champagne is involved :-)Started again 25th December 2017

I'd love to be a part of this. I started here last month, with about 13.5k to shift.
I was aiming to have it cleared in about two years as well.

Heyyyyyy,
I started last month with a total of £12513 to pay off.
My last repayment is due June 2017 but I am hoping to get this all paid off by December 2015 at the latest.
Hope I can join in too?!?
Thanks Dxxx0 -
Well I sold quite a few things on ebay, some old coats and some old xbox games and managed to raise £165. Very happy with that. To start with I am aiming to get rid of my HSBC overdraft and then I will be moving on to my 2 big credit cards, though they are at least on 0% interest now.
I also have a Tesco CC with £30 on it, might just pay it off to feel as though I have one less debt!
Getting paid last week and putting £500 straight in to my ISA was a lovely feeling and one I intend to stick to! I have worked out that if all goes to plan I could have close to between £10,000 - £15,000 saved and debt free by Oct 15Debtfree!0
