Hi. We have a Dell Dimension 3000 XP service pack 3 1GB memory. My son wants to play Minecraft but our pc can't handle it. I want to buy a secondhand desktop pc as a replacement so could you tell me what spec I need to look out for please? I was thinking of upgrading to 2GB - the max our pc can take - but most days now Windows informs us that our virtual memory is low and I don't think the graphics card (whatever it is) is up to it or that 2GB would make the difference.
:j I hope my comment helps :T

Minecraft's min specs are:
CPU : Intel P4/NetBurst Architecture or its AMD Equivalent (AMD K7)- RAM : 2GB
- GPU : Intel GMA 950 or AMD Equivalent
- HDD : At least 90MB for Game Core and Sound Files
- Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 or up is required to be able to run the game.
Unfortunatly it looks like you would need to get a newer machine to be able to play.0 -

If I buy before Christmas I'll only spend about £150 max. If I wait until after Christmas - maybe £250 max. Obviously it's a 2nd hand or refurb pc I'm after.
I notice that a lot of the cheap ones on eBay are running Windows XP as opposed to Windows 7.:j I hope my comment helps :T0 -
Sorry for the late reply but have a look at the Dell outlet"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0
