Malewearbytes Trial Ending

Xmas Saver!
Hello Everyone :j

The Malewearbytes trial is ending in a few day's & it is asking me to pay £19.99 which I presume would be for a year.

Now normally I would not even consider this. But it is blocking a lot of threats from my laptop.

When I go say on Ebay I get the little messages come up that it has blocked potential threats to my computer.

Is there anything else that does this as well that is free?

Do you think it's a good idea to buy it as it seems to be stopping lots of things getting to my laptop?

Thank You

Will be an excellent purchase as its a lifetime licence. Shopplng around you may find it cheaper but supporting the developer direct is best way to go.
  • I use the Pro version of Malwarebytes and think it provides excellent realtime protection as well as automatic updating several times during the day.

Also bear in mind that the same I/D and Key can be used for several computers.

So far I've used it on 4 different machines belonging to family members.

On this basis it's excellent value for money.

If it's blocking a lot of (real) threats, change antivirus software (assuming you have some running), there are plenty of free ones - avira should be picking most things up, but you could try avast

What is it finding on ebay? post your malwarebytes log.

When I click on the logs it just shows that it scanned & nothing found?. And yet several times a day I get the bubble message thingy coming up saying it's blocked potential threats.

If it's only £19.99 for a lifetime licence then I don't mind paying that, it's just lots of them are only for a year.

    I've got free versions of

    Avira
    Online Armour
    Malewearbytes

And I scan with Superantispywear & ccleaner at least one a week.

Has it ALWAYS flagged up blocking items, or only recently since the trial period is coming to an end?

My guess would be the website (IP) blocking - no surprise it's blocking lots on ebay.

That comment shows how little you know about the company and the people behind it.
