I have certainly found that non-iron shirts work, nothing wrong with them, by the time i sit on the bus my ironed shorts are normally crushed!

To me, a non-iron shirt just means it is quick and easy to iron. Have never found one that genuinely means you don't need to iron it no matter how careful you are.

I have to disagree with most of the others that have posted. I used to be a bit obsessive with washing and ironing, until my son went to University. He used to call back for an overnight stay with a bag of washing! I know I am soft and he should have done it himself but I did it.:o

I bought a tumble dryer for the first time and found that whatever I wash and then dry on the iron dry setting, if I take it out as soon as it goes onto the anti crease cycle then hang it up on coat hangers overnight to finish drying. It doesn't need ironing. This works for all cotton shirts and trousers and skirts. T shirt type material I then put on to cupboard dry and repeat the process.

It sounds very sad but it has made such a difference to me. I used to like things looking well ironed, and they still do, I rarely iron anything...but it looks like I do.

I never thought I would say it but life is too short for ironing.:D
  • i found some fantastic shirts for my husband on a little site i came across called armstrongtheshirt, the non iron shrits are brilliant, and really do the job! i cant fault them, in fact he has non iron shirts and normal shirts, and when i get them out of the tumble dryer i forget which ones are which as they both come out great. i would really suggest you visit the website, i know my husband will not be getting his shirts from else where, and now we also buy all the male members in the family shirts from there! :j

hehe also i follow them on facebook and twitter alot! to see if i can use the discount codes which they post which is always a great little money saver.

    hope this helps!
