We are in a similar position our 15 year old Tortie girl has been on 2 x10mg Vidalta for 3 years.A new vet took some bloods and stated that she should be on 10mg x1 .Her weight then dropped dramatically, even though all did was worry for food when you put it in front of her she would take 1 mouthfull and then walk off, 5 mins later she is worrying for food again!
We took her back to the vets, saw our usual vet who put her back up to x 2per day.
She is very slowly putting on weight, she still worries for food but is eating a bit more. She is eating Felix pouches ( senior)and some deli ham and chicken.
Good luck with your little girl xx0 -

I must admit that I do this with the local rescue - I make beds for them and will take things like litter, food, washing powder, bowls, toys etc but I rarely give cash.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Jojo, I'd ignore the rude discharging nurse at least one more time, though I hope you're not back there for a while. Surely the £50 worth of items would be valued more, as the other nurses indicated?
I hope your old girl doesn't find a way to get herself back to the cute vet too soon.0 -
Collected her Hills L/D from them today. As I was paying, I asked if I could buy some of the k/d in case she didn't like the change, but they didn't have any left.
Guess what?
That's right. She HATES the l/d.
:wall: :wall: :wall:I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
