Best BT deal for low user.

Last November I paid for BT Line Rental Saver. As an existing customer, I also got Option 1 BB and Unlimited Eve/Wkend Calls for £8.25 per month, all expire 22nd Nov 2012.

This has suited me, I don't use landline, but BB Option 1 is ok for my needs.

What is the best price anyone has obtained from BT for a similar package this year?
Did the negotiated price factor in the January 2013 increase?

I will be away around the time my deal expires, so need to start thinking ahead. I don't want any add-ons, just the lowest possible price from BT.

Thank you.

Have you considered other providers whom might be even cheaper than BT?

To be honest, I had such a nightmare with BT in 2008 getting a reliable Broadband connection (that's another long story and the bottle of champagne they sent me by way of an apology has long since been drunk) that I have been loathe to rock the broadband boat ever since ( maybe that was their cunning plan?) as my BT BB connection is very reliable now.

Almost any provider will be cheaper than BT's standard rates. Plusnet is the obvious alternative if you don't want to go for an LLU supplier. Same network, much better service.
