Hi
I have appealed to parking eye.
In my appeal I gave the PCN number and my reg plate and my first name.
I also quoted the exact times they claim I entered and left a carpark.
Although I did make up a new email to use when appealing to them which doesnt reflect my name.
I got a reply at 11:30 am headed "Autoresponse - appeal"
It stated
Thank you for contacting ParkingEye.
For your appeal to be considered, please include, at the top of your email the reference number, vehicle registration, your name, address and post code and any supporting information to assist with your appeal, such as a store receipt from the day in question, proof of purchase via a bank statement etc. (If you have already provided this information there is no need to respond to this auto-email)
If this required information is missing your appeal may not be dealt with.
If you cannot attach supporting information to the email, then please send a written appeal to:
PO Box 565,
Chorley,
PR6 6HT
Please be aware that ParkingEye will respond in writing only by letter and not by email. We endeavour to respond to all appeals as soon as possible, however you may not receive your written response by letter for up to 10 days.
If further information is required the Parking Charge will be placed on hold to enable any further correspondence to be considered and during this time the Parking Charge amount will not increase.
Alternatively, to make a debit/credit card payment please telephone 0844 247 2981 or online at www.ParkingEye.co.uk/payments.
Parking Eye,
Surely for an appeal to be considered the info I gave is sufficient? and surely that IS NOT an auto response, as how would it recognize absence of the required info, and why did it take about 36 hours to respond?
On the original letter I got it asks for none of this. Am I ok to tell them they have all the info they need and to inform me of their final decision?
Then if they chase me further, keep going around in circles to waste their time?
I know I dont need to appeal and can ignore but I want these sods to cough up £30

In my opinion i would just wait for the inevitable "on this occasion your appeal was declined" response!
Was youe invoice issued after the 1st Oct 2012?
If so then you have a right to appeal to POPLA once you recieve your "appeal declined " response.0 -
Thats my main question, are they within their rights to decline to decide my appeal until i provided
"reference number, vehicle registration, your name, address and post code and any supporting information to assist with your appeal,"
It was after the 1st Oct yes.0 -
I would have thought that you have provided enough information for them to be able to identify the PCN and to concider your appeal and then to decline it!
I would be tempted to just wait for the inevitable "declined",
Then take it straight to POPLA.0
