Extractor fan for bath room needed

I need a extractor fan install in second floor bath room. It will need drilling through an internal wall, install 2.5m ducting in the bedroom next door, probably use some plaster board (?) to hide the ducting, than drill through external wall for outlet.

Do any one know which trade I should get quotation from? electrician? bathroom fitter? builder?

An electrician would be best. However, you need to think about the type of extractor. A standard 4 " wall mounted extractor may struggle to push moist air 2.5 metres without it condensing in the pipe. You may be better with an inline fan that both pushes and pulls the moist air, thus avoiding the condensation problem.

You'll probably need a few trades - an electrician probably wont do the boxing in and plastering....

If you fit an in-line fan you'll need to provide for future access to it, so the boxing in would have to be carefully thought out to allow this

Thanks both. I would get an electrician to start with

BTW, anyone got suggestions on how to hide ducting in the bedroom?
