kitchen appliances - manufacturers??

So - new kitchen is chosen, but have to sort out appliances. Our fitter uses CDA, and quoted based on their hood/hob(induction) and oven. We also need a dishwasher now :( but im not really happy with CDA so looking for alternatives.

Now - i know im going to pay more - probably - which is fine if its not tooo expensive so - what to go for.

First off, do I stick with the same manufacturers, or mix & match.

I want decent stuff - its not a cheap kitchen with granite tops and such but not really up on things TB.

My initial thoughts are Boshe, Seimens or Neff. if I use the same manufacturers for everything, they all come in at around the same price BUT if I mix/match i could save. For instance Bosce's oven if more expensive than the equivalent Seimens by £100 - but the induction hob is £100 less than the seimens equivalent.

Any other decent makes I should look at that are maybe a little cheaper than these? (as an option).

The original quote was around £1400 for all appliances. A Bosch set of oven/hob/hood/washer comes in at nearer £2200.

  • Bosch, Siemens and Neff are all in the same group but are marketed differently. If a Bosch oven costs more than a Siemens, all things being equal, it will because it's higher spec. Have you compared the specs and selling prices of the individual items?

I'm not sure if you're asking this but I don't think it makes any difference whether items are all from the same brand or not, mine are a variety.

Yeh - there pretty much like for like spec.

just thinking fro an aesthetic POV re brands. Hood and Dishwasher I guess it doesnt matter - but oven and hob?

Looking at Hotpoint for a cheaper option (bar the dish washer as I canonly find 12 place setting ones - id rather have 14). They seem to get decent reviews. Would come in around £1500 for the same kind of spec as the Bosch/Seimens/Neff.
  • Whirlpool and indesit are much the same make and have the same price tag, i think Neff is the best machine out there. You can save more with the neffs easy to run on power machines.
