Late Night Spam Texts

I've had to start work early for the last few weeks at 4.30am. So I've been going to bed early.... to be woken up by texts from PPI scumbags at 21:58 and 22:10. They use numbers: 07919208568 and 07587063075.
I've tried looking on the Ofcom website to complain which is chocolate teapot.
I've tried calling these numbers from my emergency PAYG phone and it goes to Asda voicemail.
Shame we don't have more effective laws against these !!!!!!-tards. In Vikings Britain I'd allow violence against these people.

I suppose I need to go through my contacts and sort out permissions. I get the odd spam text and call during the day which whilst irritating is not on the grand scheme of things to worry too much about. It's the late night texts that are taking the pee.The man without a signature.0

My OH is having the same problem, not just from 1 or 2 mobile numbers 3 or 4 different ones. Have you tried texting 'Stop' to them? I told my OH do this and not heard about it since.
You can call your carrier and block these numbers for free, i will be doing this for my OH if this persists.Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.0 -

The problem with these texts are that they are sent from normal mobile numbers, usually a pre-paid sim with an unlimited texts add on linked to a computer program that sends the texts to millions of random numbers
The mobile networks have systems in place that catch on to so many texts being sent but all they can do is shut down the SIM cards they are sent from the senders just simply get another SIM and do the same process over and over again0 -
Texting stop is not a good idea as it notifies them that they have reached an active number, it increases the value of your number when/if they sell it on.0

You'll never stop these cold callers. Isn't it much easier to simply change YOUR number if you feel so strongly about it?0

Why would you still have your mobile switched on when you've gone to bed anyway, it's not hard is it.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -
