Please check that the property is safe!
Mains wired inter-linked smoke alarms with a control panel if 3 storey.
CO alarm near any gas appliances ( boiler, gas fire, gas cooker/hob)
Fire escape doors with turn locks ( NO KEYS NEEDED)
Fire escape route not blocked by furniture or bikes, rubbish etc
Emergency lighting ( glows green at night in the hallways )
Emergency exit windows without KEYS to escape in the event of a fire.
Fire blanket in the kitchen and fire extinguishers on each floor ( 3 storey or more)
Fire doors with self closer on the kitchen door

Licensing covers couples
I think the issue is that licencing can cover couples, but the LL licence doesn't necessarily do so. Requirements are presumably more stringent as the number of occupants increases so if the LL only got a licence on the basis of one person per room and then moves a couple in...0
