hi all
ive had a rollercoaster of a couple of years uni, pregnancy, mat leave, husband in a out of work and now on low paid agency, was trying to pay minimum on all debtors but was really struggling so had to face truth and get myself on a dmp with ccs gutted as then defaulted on all credit files but it was a vicious circle now the ends kind of insight but life on hold until ive paid all off so looking at ways reduce so looking at claiming bank charges. ive written to four debtors (barclaysx1, barclaycardx2, natwestx1)and only had one reply and list of transactions from one?(barclays) that was at least 8 wks ago.
Should i send another letter but recorded delivery?
ive had response from Barclays and iam assuming ive added up the correct way. I haven't included account fees ie i paid a monthly amount so that i could have a special account that meant interest rate lower ad obviously i haven't included interest on the normal overdraft.
ive just added up returned fees, guaranteed fees, reserve fees in total this adds up to £1392.00 this would clear the overdraft that i owe them if i managed to successfully claim.
can anyone give me tips to write should i be very specific on the first letter ie what exactly has happened or would it be sufficient just to send proof of my dmp i mean they should know iam on that anyway.
Do i also need to go to each transaction and work out interest to at least bolster my case. I also had a separate loan from barclays but was still attached to my account do you think they may clear some of this with the claim? sorry for all the questions, all tips advice will be gratefully appreciated thankyou

You dont need to make any calculations yourself. You just put your hardship case to them and if they agree then they will make a goodwill offer.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
