PPI Claim after Divorce

Believing that the PPi i tookout was only in my name as the sole income earner, i instigated reclaiming.

I have recieved an offer to settle but the Bank are insisting that as the loan was in Joint Names the PPI claim needs to be settled Jointly.

The issue is that i divorced and as part of the settlement took responsibility for all Loans etc.......... as part of a Full and Final settlement.

Do i need to provide my ex with a share and if so does this mean that the full and final is rescinded such that her failure to provide a share of the Joint car as was required is back in play together with the inheritance she subsequently recieved from the passing of her parents ?

i would like to keep this simple but it annoys me that without contributing financially to the Loan she will derive benefit - i am not belittling her role as home maker.

Advice ?

What you and your ex agree on is up to you. However, the bank will need your ex to confirm to them what is agreed. They wont take your word for it alone.

Only if it's relevant to your PPI complaint otherwise it's just bitter, yes?
If the loan was in joint names, then there must have been some reason for that, so yes, she's entitled to a share unless the bank will accept your divorce papers saying that the loan was/is your responsibility... that's if you have something like that.
