URGENT PLEASE-going on hol 2 days and just had stitches!!UPDATED...

    I think 9 days is the maximum time for stitches before the skin starts healing over and you could have problems removing the stitches. Keep an eye on the stitches and see if they are able to be removed after a week.

    try not to pull any of the stitch that has been "outside"-(ie visible)-underneath the wound as this will pose an infection risk.
    Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most..... ;)

    well im off in the morning first thing so hopefully all will be ok, she has been given some anti-biotics to take with us just in case! i feel sick at the thought of taking them out now but im sure we will fins someone to do it for us.

    UPDATE-
    well after lots of offers from fellow holiday makers ranging from removing them with a stanley knife to me doing them.. we went to the local nhs hospital and they wouldn't remove them cos she had an infection!! so came home and had them removed here, o well thanks for all your help.. ps the holiday was great..x
