Where to buy nut free foods?

I used to get free nut butter, bakin' boys cakes, nut free flour (own brand) and some other nut free snacks in Sainsburys. Recently I've only been able to get the flour, orange and chocolate bakin' boys (don't like chocolate orange) and that's it!

Does anyone know where I can buy nut free peanut butter, cakes, chocolate spread and other "yummy" nut free products? I looked online but most suppliers are in America and they don't specify wether they ship to the UK.

Nut free peanut butter? Good luck with that one.

Seriously, try here - although I've just read they want £35 for a safe shopping list..........

There's the Free From range at Sainsbugs who also have their own web page regarding allergies.

Lol nut free peanut butter does exist! It's made with seeds, I can find it online but I'd rather get recommendations before buying out with the EU as I don't know the food standards for allergies for the rest of the world (my allergy is pretty serious).

Holland and Barrat? Not 100% sure if they do it, but they do lots of free from foods, so may be worth a look :)

Sainsburys is the best for nut free foods out of all the supermarkets. If you call the customer care line they should send you out the nut free catalogue.

Kinnerton chocolate and sweets are fab for nut free stuff. They keep production lines totally separate so no 'this product may contain nuts'

I know it's a pain as hubby has nut allergy.

Erm...peanuts aren't nuts. They are legumes - in the pea family.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

I just look at the packaging of the things I am going to buy....ok, maybe the long winded way but it has worked for me.

*Youngest has a nut, shellfish and rhubarb allergy (yes, that really does say rhubarb!)
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Mine is all nuts except coconut but including pine nuts which aren't true nuts according to the EU.

    I'm also anaphylactic around cats!

I have the sainsburys catalogue and have no problems finding nut free "proper" food but my local one has stopped stocking nut free snacks/desserts.

I always order from Dietary Needs Direct (http://www.dietaryneedsdirect.co.uk/cnb/shop/dietaryneeds-direct), they sell plenty of nut free items including Eskal free nut butter and also a nut free satay sauce. They sell plenty of sweet things too and I have found their service to be great.

Also, have a look for Orgran products as they are all nut free. I can recommend the small packets of chocolate animal biscuits and also packets of cake mixes which I have had good results with. https://www.orgran.com/products

Could you eat tahini, which is made from sesame seeds and tastes like peanut butter?

It's a pain isn't it, rarely is there just one allergy. Youngest is also intolerant to milk, wheat, soya and sensitive to gluten!

Oh and he had a bad reaction to a kitten on Saturday night, something he has never had before...and we own a cat (which he is fine with...weird!)
