We received Npower backdated bill £838 for an error in meter readings ( having charged wrongly for economy 7 instead of daytime unit costs. They say they have already witten off chrges since 2007 under code of practice, but are seeking current 12months period. The error was notifed to them from our investigatgion in june2012. Their investigation was formally concluded November 2012 with the resultant bill. Should they have waived the total amount as this was their error. Any help Please

No last 12 months you are liable fore.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

A firm who make a mistake and under-charge, can claim that back; as you can if they over-charge!

In law they can claim back 6 years, it is a code of practice - not a law - that they will only claim back 12 months.
