Laptop Advice to play this game?

Hi guys,
I don't know anything about laptops but I would like one that can comfortably play the following game spec. I have had my existing laptop since 2009 but the internal power jack has become damaged meaning I now have to use cellotape to get the laptop to work. The battery doesn't charge at all. I think getting a new laptop is the long term solution as basically I can even pick the lappy up now for fear of it turning off. A repair will reportedly cost updwards of £50 so it just doesn't seem economical, especially as my right click button is also broke! Can anyone recomend a good laptop, as cheap as possible!
PC
OS - Windows XP/Vista/W7
Processor - XP : 1.6GHz or Faster, Vista/W7/W8 : 2.2GHz or Faster
Supported Processors: Intel Pentium 4, Intel Core, AMD Athlon
Memory - XP/Vista/W7/W8 : 1.0GB RAM
Video Card - 128MB *Supported Chipsets (see below)
DirectX: 9.0c
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible
Currently using: Dell System Model Inspiron 1545
Processor Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4200 @ 2.00GHz, 2000 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB

how much do you have to spend?
is that recommended spec or required spec?Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Thank you for reading, the spec is "minimum required".
I am hoping to spend as little as possible but probably a maximum of £350ishDebtfree!0 -
cheaper to repair it yourself, than dispose of a modern laptop with minor problems.

Ok well with a lower budget my recommendation would be to look at a AMD A series processor as the integrated graphics chipset included on them are a lot more powerful than the intel integrated graphics
a 'start' would be something like this http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Packard_Bell_EasyNote_TV43_1286920.html as it includes the latest AMD Trinity chipset which has a extremely good integrated graphics (although not a big fan of packard bell)
or http://www.ebuyer.com/398428-samsung-305v5a-laptop-np305v5a-a04dx which runs the older (but still good) Llano chipset but has slightly higher other spec, and is a slightly better brand (in my mind at least)Drop a brand challenge

an hour or so's effort undoing a few screws, and £14, vs £350
you could solve the button at the same time
if you are lucky, both problems could be just a loose connector, costing nothing!!

What game is this? Those aren't particularly high specs and most mid-range laptops from 5 years ago would have managed those specs. An upper budget of £350.00 will certainly cover your needs. Have a gander on dabs.com to see if you can come up with a few good options, then google to find the best price.0

what are you taping up, the end connector of the power lead, if so, it might just need a new power brick/lead, rather than a daughterboard.!!

It is definitely the internal connector as I have tried two seperate leads. Basically I am having to tape the connector in or otherwise it falls out. My current laptop is not good enough to play the desired game. I think somewhere I heard about some refurbed laptops that had really good spec at a great price. I will try and fit this one though for sure.Debtfree!0

£14 daughterboard to fix then, or less if you want to try soldering
What game, and what happens when you play it?
the laptop spec exceeds the pc spec you posted, unless it's a video card compliance issue!!
