Last year I bought the daughter a Fuji Finepix f650. This year she has finally sussed that you can only store a few pics on the internal memory but you can get a picture card thingy that will store loads. (The novelty of downloading them onto her lappy has now worn off).
I went up the town this morning to price them and the local camera shop want 60 quid for a 1 gig job. Jessups were better at 35 quid for a 1 gig.
Could somebody give me a phrase please that I could put into a search engine and check out prices on the net ?
It's her birthday in a weeks time and I wanna make sure that I order the right one at the first attempt. Apparently, it HAS to be a 1 gig job, I am informed.
Anticipatory thanks

go to either https://www.7dayshop.com or https://www.mymemory.co.uk
They both do memory for great prices.
Double check them against ebay before buying.0 -
check this one
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=100204
1gb Only £14.49 plus p+p
Or this
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=101406
2gb for £31.99 plus p+p
That is still less than Jessops were wanting for a 1gb and it is double the size. She would never have to download again as this will hold hundreds or thousands of pictures depending on the actual resolution setting she is using.0 -
eBuyer are pretty good as well - just under £14 for the 1gb (think it's around a quid cheaper than when I bought one 6 months ago).

[edit] - for some reason, the link shows all types - you'll need put XD into the "Search within these results" box...
or try this one http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/cat/Flash-Memory/subcat/xD-Picture-Cards0 -
Remember to use quidco.. play.com is my fav as its got free delivery
Do you know what kind of memory card you need? You can get the guy at the camera shop to work that out for you then order online0 -
Thanks MSEers, I think that I am gonna follow SuperJaggyBunnets advice and go for the 2 gig, at least I won't have to go through this rigmarole again. I have found an authentic Fuji for 27 quid inc. postage from your links BUT type H and type M are mentioned. I have looked on the Fuji site and the F650 isn't mentioned anywhere so does it matter which one I buy ?0

Check this link

Looks to me like either of them would do the job. It says they can be used for all but the models mentioned and your model is not mentioned.0 -
