Hi everyone,
I took out a loan with Firstplus in 2007 along with the ppi.I successfully claimed mis selling of the ppi in 2009 and cancelled the ppi on the loan however this only reduced the payment by £12 a month and I received approx £5000 cheque from them.
I recently rewrote to them asking to look into my claim again as I feel as if I am still paying ppi. They replied saying that when I got compensated with the cheque this was full and final. Do I have any chance to get this reduced I mentioned in the letter that we werent told that we would be paying this for the term of the loan however they didnt want to know and said that was their final decision and I had already accepted their offer in 2009.
Can I take this any further and is anyone else in the same boat as me.
Thanks in advance

First plus front loaded your PPI as a single premium. They refunded that single premium to you. You would only expect a minimal change, if any, to the monthly cost of the loan as you got the £5000 in your hands and not off the balance of the loan. They replied saying that when I got compensated with the cheque this was full and final. You complained. They gave their response. You got paid the redress. You are not going to get any more as you are not entitled to any more. Plus, you accepted their offer as closure of this complaint. it is too late, as well as unnecessary, to raise more issues.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I complained to FP about PPI and I received and accepted a goodwill gesture, I thought I had got a good deal and a win, I then realised that this was not deemed a mis sell and the whole PPI was still on the loan to term end with interest, I put a claim in for mis sell to FP, they refused as they had dealt with this so I took it to FOS, they upheld this and I had the whole PPI taken off the balance and my monthly payment went down.
If I were the op I would write back, FP are covering their backs here and are still taking the insurance each month with the interest added, this is a rip off.0
