we may have to get an engineer out from sky as we are having problems with it..does anyone know how much the call out charge is please?

I think its £65. . Thats what they wanted off us, but we told em to stick it and went to Virgin..After I had cancelled someone rung up and said they will do it for nothing.But i cancelled anyway.
So tell them you are not happy at the charge(if they ask for one) and see how it goes.
Have you had it more than 12 months?

NEVER pay a sky call out charge. If you are within contract they will do it for £0.00. If you are out of contract tell them to do it for £0.00 or you will cancel your subscription

we got the hd box in 2010 and have been with sky since 2002 when we moved in (i think we had a break at some point in that time though)

was thinking of leaving but hubby wont as there is 2 more f1 races to go yet

i could always lay it on think and see what they say, the lady ringing me back tomorrow to see if issue is fixed seemed nice so hopefully ill get somewhere

We were in the same position and I sent an Email asking how to end our of life contract. Received a phone call within days and had a friendly chat with the retentions team. Took an offer of an engineers visit of £15. The HD box has been swapped out for a recon on 30 day warrenty and the LND(?) in the dish replaced.
The diffrenece is massive so be polite.

If it's only got to last 2 races, they are a fiver on ebay or free on freegle (though not HD ones).

It's only one left on sky only, Brazil (last) is on BBC.

we figured out the problem and mended it without sky coming out..very pleased. thanks for replies.
