Disenchanted with Pottermore Problem

Received x3 Harry Potter e-books on Friday to download to Kindle ... have now spent a good 4 hours trying to get them on to said Kindle and have managed to break every wand in the house in the process.
Keeps coming up with error message "oops - there's a problem, try again"
Have contacted both Amazon and Pottermore. Amazon.co.uk said don't support gift ebooks (but they clearly do because Pottermore is linked with them) and Pottermore are shut over the weekend.
Any ideas for any Sunday solutions anyone? (The helpdesk is open from 9 tomorrow, so will call them)

Gifted (pottermore send you an email to say you have been gifted *whatever* and they send you a download code that you have to enter before linking to your Amazon account).
I can get to link account, but then the download keeps failing.0 -
OK had a quick look at pottermore and amazon, and all I can suggest is are you sure it is a kindle format book rather than say ePub format , it could be just a mistake made by the giver .... sorry can't help further . Thanks so much. I managed to get all the way to the penultimate part which is the pop up box that says your book has now downloaded - this is the part I get the error message.
Will call them tomorrow.
