Am i correct in believing that DLA is regarded as invisible income in terms of claiming CTB? If yes, would income from industrial injuries disablement benefit be similarly treated?

DLA is a disregard with other benefits (including HB).
This will tell you what you would be entitled to:

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

The information i require is specific to a CTB claim only (the property is not rented therefore HB is irrelevant). For the purposes of CTB is IIDB treated differently from DLA when assessing income?
Thanks.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -
Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit use the same rules for assseing income
The following are counted as income (not an entirely comprehensive list)Social security benefits
The following are taken into account in full:
state retirement pension (yours and your partner's)
incapacity benefit
industrial injuries and disablement benefits
carer's allowance
child benefit
bereavement benefit
state benefits and pensions from another country or government
The following are disregarded in full but you must declare them as you could get more benefit if you do:
disability living allowance – care
disability living allowance – mobility
attendance allowance
mobility allowance
war pensionsI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -

IIDB is treated differently from DLA. IIDB is taken into account, whereas DLA is ignored0
