Bereavement allowance- where does the bank account show the money has come from?

When Bereavement allowance is being paid into a bank account,

'where' does it say the money has come from, on the bank account?,

what name/reference shows where the money payment has come from on the bank account/statement ?

£xx from HMRC?
£xx from dwp?
£xx from bereavement allowance? etc?
£xx from ...?



and is this the same reference as the bereavement payment?
or they both come from different 'reference' names?

Both Bereavement Allowance and Bereavement Payment are administered by Job Centre Plus.

I don't know about reference numbers but you should be able to identify them easily because the Bereavement Payment is a one off payment of £2000 whereas Bereavement Allowance is a weekly payment.

Is this what you meant or are you asking about something else?

£xx from DWP B or DWP BB

and know the 'exact' name of the payment the money comes from?

Just seen this.

My latest bank statement has my national insurance number followed by the letters "DWP BB".

I get it fortnightly. I think I had the choice of fortnightly or 4-weekly.

The OP did mention bereavement payment and I was unsure if she was referring to the one off payment of £2000 or bereavement payments in general.
