pre order at game - bad service

Pre ordered a PS3 game last week for my son, chose Game due to their offer of a free t shirt which was preferred to free offers by other companies. Had an email to say item dispatched, then next day another email to say due to a problem there would be no t shirt. They did offer a £5 gift voucher but thats not much use to my disappointed son, especially when I could have got any other number of free gifts from other places.
It seems wrong to only announce no t shirts once the item has been dispatched leaving me no chance of getting a pre order offer from anywhere else.
Bad service from Game, I will think twice before ordering anything from them again

I don't know if I'm getting better or just used to the pain.

Is it possible it was a "while stocks last" offer? Also, as GAME often don't get stock until the day or so before release, it's possible that the promotional items weren't sent by the company, or they were sent less than expected.
When I used to work for Gamestation, it wasn't uncommon for the game manufacturer to promise x number of promotional items, and end up sending just one t-shirt. I know it's pants, but you could try writing to the company that makes the game to see if they would kindly send your son a t-shirt?0 -
Thanks for that, will try it - and thanks for the insider information!I don't know if I'm getting better or just used to the pain.
