    Thanks firefly, I'll try that.

Rang a few animal shelter places, everyone that picked up has the same story, full up etc... No idea where I go from here forward

hiya, try not to worry about them to much tonight lil,
you've done all you can :A
as long as they've fresh water & somewhere warm to sleep
(which you've done) & safe from the fireworks/etc & hopefully had a bit to eat they should hopefully be ok till the morning,

only thing i can suggest as said by others is to phone round
the cats protection/rescue etc again tomorrow & stress the kittens are vulnerable xx

  • It's times like this, I wish I had a bigger house (and a bit more cash) cos I'd love to take them on but just can't at the mo. Even temporarily would be fatal cos I'd fall in love with them all lol!
Kittens are fairly easy to rehome though, are you on facebook at all because there are rehoming sites on there, I'll ask a local one if they know somewhere they can go. Obviously homecheckings ideal but still a bit of a commitment to you so a rescue or shelter may be your best bet if you can keep trying.
:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly :D

    My kittens have disappeared :(

Woke up this morning, no sign of them.

I had found homes for two of them. My son would really love it and my husband seems keen on the idea so we would have kept one and my husband's friend wanted one.

I will keep an eye out for them and see if they return.

This same thing happened to me a few months ago.

Feral kittens in a neighbour's back garden behind his shed.

I rang every rescue place I could think of and they ALL said they were full to the brim. The kittens were too scared to come to any of us but would eat the food some of us put out...even so, they were skin and bone. And kept disappearing, too.

Finally - thank God - a poster on here, Froglet, gave me a contact list of the little known cat rescues and one very kind lady could help.

She trapped the kittens in a remote control trap and took them with her.

The update was that she found them all homes.

But forget the RSPCA or Cats Protection League. They will not be able or willing to help.

I can't comment on the RSPCA as no experience, but I disagree with the comment above about the CPL (as a "general" comment). Our CPL will never turn away a cat in need. It obviously may be different for different branches, but even in our local branch where there is no central pen facility, they will always find somewhere for them.
