Hi all - hope you don't mind if I join in. Always tried to meal-plan for the week, but didn't always manage it. Really trying to stick with it now, as it DOES make a difference to what I spend overall on food and we waste less food, as I think about what I'll do with leftovers and don't have to last minute 'panic buy' for an evening meal when I'm late home from work. So -
Mon - Pork (leftovers from Sunday) in barbeque sauce with roasties and veg
Tues - Chicken casserole (thighs) in slow cooker
Wed - Savoury crumble (using bolognese sauce prepped for Thurs)
Thurs - Pasta Bolognese
Fri - Sausage and Bean Casserole
Sat - Home Made pizzas
Sun - Roast Something (haven't decided yet - whatever's best value !) & yorkshires etc
Got plenty of frozen / tinned and fresh veg, plus the last of a rather poor tomato harvest from the greenhouse which can be used to bulk out the bolognese sauce and sausage casserole etc. Got enough bread in the freezer and ham / eggs etc for butties this week for lunches, so shouldn't have to spend except for milk and a sunday something to roast when shopping Saturday morning. :j0 -

I'm pleased to say this weeks meal plan is going well, no complaints from the family about what they're being fed, in fact my son asked me last night what are we having today, normally they're the first words he says to me when he gets home from school !***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0

My meal plan started yesterday:
Wed - prawn chorizzo tomato pasta
Thur - chicken paprika
Fri - roasted duck legs, roasted veg
Sat - pizza (bought) and salad
Sun - beef mushroom stew
Mon - chicken stir fry
Tue - frankfurter saussage & potato goulash soup with nice bread
I planned on having duck legs roast on Sunday, but I have cabbage that needs using and goes well with it so swaped it round with stew..0
