Warm Home Discount Scheme - When are payments being given?

My elderly mother received a letter from the Warm Home Discount Scheme which informed her that she was going to receive a £130 discount off her energy bill.

Her electric company is EDF, we informed the Warm Home Discount Scheme of her supplier and I believe a coupon will be sent to her because she is on a pre-paid meter.

When are these coupons being sent out? anyone already received one?

It's paid between October and March.

I think there is a difference between core group recipients and the rest, and pre-paid customers are also in a different group. I received my credit in September. Call the helpline on the number given in the letter- they are really helpful.

I bet there's going to be lots of people who will loose out under this new scheme, as £130.00 isn't enough !!! The older system was by far better of the social tariff that some suppliers offered to those with low incomes , which guaranteed that you always paid 5% under the lowest tariff , Thanks to government meddling , And British Gas only crediting it in march or after is no good either

Just had confirmation from EDF that the vouchers may also be issued in March, which is ridiculous, Feb/March for the last few years is when the cold weather ends.
